Monthly garden maintenance for this Applecross property.

There are quite a few different tasks we do for Mussarett each month. These mainly include pruning trees, hedging, and potting.

Pruning is often a job people engage Two Gloves for as it requires specialist tools and sometimes requires working at heights. These tools are quite expensive, so hiring our team to get the job done is more economical. One memorable aspect of this project was that Mussarett had a beautiful pomegranate tree in the backyard that held sentimental value. She asked us to ensure it had room to grow and flourish, and give it a good prune to help it stay strong and healthy. Each time we go back, we make sure it's in optimal condition with enough water and sunlight.

Then, we picked up a ficus tree and potted it in a pot that could be kept indoors. We also cleaned up Mussarett's upstairs balcony and checked the retic there, as well as each pot's soil. She has quite a few pots up here and suspected they were being overwatered. After doing a soil test, we discovered they were actually being underwatered so we significantly bumped up the retic to ensure those plants would thrive.

Finally, we regularly do hedging. We make sure these are nicely squared off and also round out some ball-shaped tree hedges. This is always a lot of fun and a rare part of the job where we get to be a bit creative!
