GARDENING SERVICES CRAIGIE

One of Two Gloves regular clients, we mow, edge and whipper snipper the front and back lawns for Matt. 

We love this job because Matt takes great care with his lawn and it’s always looking in tip top shape by the time we’re done. 

Sometimes we make mistakes and we certainly did on the most recent mow. Firstly, we accidentally struck one of his pop-up sprinklers in the front lawn. It was a sneaky one because it was his only raised sprinkler and it was covered in long grass. 

Naturally we told Matt about this, went down to Bunnings and found an identical replacement and swapped it out to avoid any issues. 

A day later Matt then told us we had somehow struck another sprinkler out the back! To this day we’re not sure how that happened, but the internal thread had cracked and dislodged itself, creating a giant water fountain when the retic went on. 

We couldn’t believe it – we’ve never hit a sprinkler before and in a single mow we busted two! 

So back out we went. This one was a more complicated than previous Fixed Head Pop-up Sprinkler, as Matt had replaced this other Pope Pop-up Sprinkler’s standard nozzle with a Rain Bird Rotary Nozzle, meaning we needed to get a new Pope sprinkler casing from Bunnings and then a new Rain Bird Rotary Nozzle from Nutrient Water. 

Of course all of the parts and return visits were at no additional cost to Matt. 

We tell you this story because we recognise we’re not perfect and prefer to instead admit our mistakes, be transparent, and show our commitment to doing right by our customers if we drop the ball. Thanks for being so understanding and gracious Matt!
