Ready to Host on the Coast

When sand and ageing pavers were the whole backyard, hosting wasn't on the table.

These Mullaloo homeowners weren't sure what to do with their outdoor space — so they called in Two Gloves for a hand.

The challenge?

Front and back yards dominated by sand and ageing pavers: hot underfoot, hard to maintain, and hardly ever used.

The brief

Create a cool, green space the family could enjoy every day, with enough versatility to host friends on the weekend.

Delivered across four site visits over four weeks, the transformation turned the property into a fresh, welcoming garden the family now enjoys year-round.

What we delivered

Garden clearance: old plants and stumps out, waste cleared, access prepped for machinery

Earthworks: levels corrected and the site shaped to create a solid foundation

Lawn and reticulation: sprinklers repaired, new backyard retic installed, new lawn laid

Planting and finishing: weed mat, feature plants, fresh mulch and a full site tidy for handover

Gardens in Great Hands

Every project follows the same staged process, backed by our project management and office support team, so clients always know what's happening and when — from sign-off to final inspection.

Built for Mullaloo's coastal conditions

  • Sandy soil that won't hold moisture or nutrients
  • Salt exposure from the sea breez
  • Water efficiency, so the garden doesn't cost a fortune to run
  • Heat reflection off paving and open sand

The Result

From wasted space to a cool, green place. The homeowners now spend family time outside and regularly host friends, in every season.
