Tapping into a Fresh New Look

When Tapping homeowner Brendon wanted to transform his front verge, he called Two Gloves for help.

The challenge?

The verge was all pavers: hard, harsh and hot. With so much open paving, it felt more like a small carpark than a front garden.

The brief

Replace the tired paved area with life and colour: make it soft, green, welcoming – and low maintenance.

The Two Gloves team removed the existing pavers, prepared the soil and planted waterwise natives, completely changing the look of the front of the home.

Gardens in Great Hands

Paula and Carol from the Two Gloves office worked with Brendon and the team through phone and email, while an estimator inspected the site to confirm the scope.

With some careful planning and plant pre-selection, the project was able to be completed in a single visit.

What we delivered

Stage One: Paver Removal

The existing pavers were pulled up and removed, opening up the verge and creating a defined space for the new garden.

Stage Two: Soil Preparation

The area was prepared with free-draining, low-phosphorus soil to give the new plants the right conditions to establish.

Stage Three: Waterwise Planting

Waterwise natives were planted to bring colour, height and softness to the front of the home. Once watered in, the area was finished with a light layer of mulch.

The Result

From a sea of paving to a defined garden between the pathway and road, the finished area completely changed the look and feel of the front of the property.

“The result is better than I could have hoped for!

They were organised, and they really poured their hearts into the project.

I’ve worked with a lot of great companies in all different fields, but Two Gloves is on a different level. I’ll recommend them to whoever needs any landscaping work.”
