Star Jasmine - Trachelospermum Jasminoides

Trachelospermum jasminoides, commonly known as Chinese Star Jasmine is an elegant, vigorous climber of glossy, lanceolate leaves and masses of highly fragrant white star shaped flowers, that bloom continuously throughout summer and autumn. Perfect for covering fences, walls and pergolas or even used as a flat ground cover, low hedge or container plant. When using Star Jasmine as a climber you will need to provide strong support. Plant in a full sun to part shade area, with well drained soil. Star Jasmine will tolerate most soil types, is low maintenance and is relatively drought tolerant once established. Regular pruning may be required to keep it neat and tidy. Fertile annually with a complete slow release fertilizer. Trachelospermum jasminoides can grow to a height and width of 3-6 metres with a structure to climb. If grown as a flat ground cover and no support Trachelospermum jasminoides will grow to a height of approx 30-40 cm in height with a spread of 3-6 metres.
